Time: 10:00 – 13:00 CET
Venue: Minerva Building, 2nd floor, University Counselling Centre UNIPOC, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ), Moyzesova 9, Košice
Who is the workshop for?
This workshop is designed for PhD students and young researchers who wish to strengthen their professional identity and advance their research careers.
What the workshop will be about
In cooperation with Suvko Coaching and the University Counselling Centre UNIPOC of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, this workshop will explore the concept of personal branding not as a marketing tool, but as a key professional skill. Personal branding is not reserved for influencers or entrepreneurs; every researcher already has a personal brand, whether they are aware of it or not. The workshop will help participants understand and actively shape how they are perceived in academic and professional environments.
Participants will learn how to:
- Gain a clear understanding of their personal brand – the values, strengths and behaviours that shape how others see them.
- Use practical tools to communicate their expertise confidently – both online and offline.
- Develop a roadmap to build trust and visibility – so that their research and professional reputation grow together.
Why it matters
Personal branding is not about self-promotion; it is about authenticity, credibility and alignment between who you are, what you stand for and how others experience you. In today’s research environment, your reputation can open as many doors as your scientific results.
