EU / EEA / Swiss nationals* and

third countries nationals** coming to Slovakia.

The European Union (EU) comprises of 28 member states:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom

The European Economic Area (EEA) comprises of:

the 27 EU member states (Croatia´s accession has not yet been finalised), and the 3 EEA EFTA states - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway

Switzerland is not a member state of EEA but Swiss citizens enjoy the same rights as the EEA nationals.

Third country nationals:

A third country is the term used to define any country of the world that is NOT one of the 28 European Union member states and EEA - EFTA member states or Switzerland.
