Entry Conditions and Legal Stay

The legal regulations are different for nationals of the European Union/European Economic Area/Switzerland and for third countries nationals.

EU/EEA/Swiss nationals wishing to enter the Slovak Republic have a special legal status and are only required to have a valid passport (or a valid ID card).

Other nationals must also comply with further requirements to enter the Slovak Republic which are specified in Act No 48/2002.
